So I’ve been drafted into writing a blog for the first time in my life. I’m not really sure how I feel about this. As someone who goes on Facebook as little as possible and who is borderline allergic to the mention of twitter the idea of writing my thoughts on anything online is fairly daunting. But sure, gotta step out of your comfort zone. Speaking of comfort zones, as I arrived last night it seems that my bedroom is some couch cushions on the rehearsal space floor. It’s really a case of first come first served here in our gradually becoming overcrowded apartment. I’m thinking of waiting until a room is unoccupied and going into it and building a massive impenetrable fort.
First day of rehearsals for me was great, pretending I’d learnt my lines wasn’t very successful but throwing Rob around the room until the florists downstairs complained was pretty rewarding.
Then there was talk of bowling which quickly was abandoned after everyone got really excited about it, because of the fact that we live absolutely nowhere near a bowling alley.
Hildy’s suggestion of finding a late night aquarium was met with enthusiasm as well, but unfortunately they don’t exist.
In the end chocolate fondue was made and the cards were got, and after Eva played a polite game of spoons (she’s not really into games) she left and there was an EPIC game of Emperors. Although I was the Scum in the final game I don’t feel that this was a fair reflection of my efforts. But I suppose life is tough.
Just realised that Els has fallen asleep on one of the couches, going to seize my chance for a bed before I miss it.
